You don’t have to dominate the midfield to have a good game. He switched from his normal box to box runs to focussing on keeping their players quiet - especially cairney. Second half, it was clear moyes had told him and rice to occupy their midfielders more and give them less space. That’s how we ended up back on top
In fairness to Fulham, they looked more solid than they have all season and we had to adapt to that, but we did so really well. Grinding out a result in a match where things aren’t falling for you is important

Like him a lot but let's be honest, up until he scored the goal he was not having a particularly good game. Rice also had a performance to forget.

I have never quite forgiven him for giving a winner away at home to Forest in 1986.

Had a shit game by his standards but still scores he winner. I like him. He's even made Rice look like a competent midfielder sinve his arrival by doing all the things Rice can't like having positional sense, a goal threat, bollocks etc.
